What Tumsy reads
Tumsy tries these sources in order:
A recipe website linked in the caption.
The caption, then the pinned comment or a top comment.
What's said in the video, then the text on its cover.
Ingredients but no steps? Tumsy may find the recipe online or fill in the steps with AI, and labels the recipe when it does.
Not working?
Tumsy isn't in the share sheet?
Add it to your share favorites once and it shows in the row of apps every time. Add Tumsy to your share favorites
Tumsy couldn't find a recipe?
Copy the caption and paste it as text, or take a screenshot of the recipe and add it as a photo. In Tumsy, open Recipes, tap Saved, then + and Paste text or Photo. With no recipes saved yet, tap Paste text or Photo.
What do I do with a private or friends-only video?
Sharing it won't work: Tumsy only opens videos anyone can watch. Copy the caption and paste it as text, or take a screenshot of the recipe and add it as a photo. In Tumsy, open Recipes, tap Saved, then + and Paste text or Photo. With no recipes saved yet, tap Paste text or Photo.
Do I need an account?
Saving a recipe with Tumsy, from another app, a link, pasted text or a photo, needs a free account: sign in with Apple. Free accounts get 5 imports a week; Tumsy Plus is unlimited.
Can I paste the link instead?
Yes. In TikTok, tap Share, then Copy link. In Tumsy, open Recipes, tap Saved, then + and Paste a link. With no recipes saved yet, tap Paste a link. Pasting a link is an import too: it needs a free account and counts toward the 5 free imports a week.
