What Tumsy reads

Tumsy tries these sources in order:

  1. The recipe page the pin links to.

  2. On that page, the recipe data built into it. If that is missing or incomplete, the page's text.

Tumsy isn't in the share sheet?

Add it to your share favorites once and it shows in the row of apps every time. Add Tumsy to your share favorites

Tumsy couldn't find a recipe?

Tumsy reads the page a pin links to, not the pin's own photo or description. If the pin links to a website, open it and share that page to Tumsy. If not, take a screenshot of the recipe and add it as a photo. In Tumsy, open Recipes, tap Saved, then + and Paste text or Photo. With no recipes saved yet, tap Paste text or Photo.

Do I need an account?

Saving a recipe with Tumsy, from another app, a link, pasted text or a photo, needs a free account: sign in with Apple. Free accounts get 5 imports a week; Tumsy Plus is unlimited.

Can I paste the link instead?

Yes. In Pinterest, tap Share, then Copy link. In Tumsy, open Recipes, tap Saved, then + and Paste a link. With no recipes saved yet, tap Paste a link. Pasting a link is an import too: it needs a free account and counts toward the 5 free imports a week.
